We are a small family owned kennel. We are located in the small town of Summerfield, Florida. Which is located just South of Ocala. We started breeding mini dachshunds in 2005. It started with just a pet. As our love for the dachshunds increased, so did the need to accumulate more. We were very lucky to have found two show breeders who could instill their trust in us, and allow us to have the opportunity to show their dogs. Fall of 2008 we will begin our journey into the Dog Show World.

We strive to produce quality, healthy, happy, and sound, family companions. Our dogs are a big part of our family. They receive the best care and loving attention at all times. Puppies are handled daily, and we are there for every delivery. Puppies are born and raised in our home, and when it is time to start being weaned from mom we move them to our climate control kennel where they are started on potty training and eating on their own. My dachshunds are kept in either my home or a heated/air conditioned kennel, not in cages. They have access to a huge yard everyday where they are allowed to run, play, and do what dogs do.
All of our dogs and puppies are very well socialized which produces a much more sound and gentle temperament resulting in a better family companion right from the start. This shows in the pups we raise, as well as the resulting adult dogs.
We breed for smooth and long coats, in many colors and patterns. We do not breed for double dapples. We require a $100 non-refundable deposit to hold the puppy of your choice until 8wks of age, then the remaining balance must be paid in full.

Each puppy leaves Bad To The Bone Kennels with all of the following:
1. Registration Papers --> AKC (LIMTED or FULL)unless otherwise stated.
2. Florida Health Certificate
3. 48 Hour Health Guarantee/1 year guarantee on genetic/hereditary defects
4. A puppy starter kit --> Authority Lamb & Rice Puppy, Toys, Treats & a blanket that smells like mommy!
